It's not everyday that we realize who a true hero is. Last week, in one of the most tragic accidents of public servicemen of the nations history, 6 firefighter's live's were taken while trying to help others in need.

As many of you may know, 2 firefighters went into a burning building to find homeless people, who often occupied the emtpy warehouse. The 2 became disoriented inside and radioed for help. 4 more men were dispacthed to the building. None of the 6 men came out of the fire.

Too often, we look up to popular musicians and big name athletes as heros. What have they done that makes them heroic? It's people like these 6 firefighters who are the real heros of our society. Those who would risk their life to save another, those who would enter a burning building or put their life on the line in a shootout to save people like us.

Take a moment to say a prayer for the heros of our lives; policemen, firefighters, paramedics and all those who have saved your life or helped you in some way. More importantly, remember the 6 firefighters, their families, children, and friends. Put them in your prayers during this holiday season.
